Eloise & Luc

Photographic & Video Content Creators

About Us

L’oeil d'Eos is a creative studio producing photographic and video content mainly in the world of travel but also in lifestyle, fashion, and sport. Behind L'oeil d'Eos there is a duo: Eloïse & Luc. Passionate about the visual arts and creation, it was after traveling the world in 2015/2016 and several years in photography that they decided to form L’oeil d´Eos. A universe where art and intimate quest are linked to encourage people to travel, to discover and to feel the raw subtlety of the world. The opportunity for professionals to tell their brand, their world in a different way and more oriented towards nature and the simple beauties of the world.

What I Love About What I Do

What I love about what I do is this feeling of freedom that I get every morning when I wake up! Art has always been part of our life, we have always been attracted to this universe, we are very connected to music for example. And to think that every day is a new creative moment is liberating. Discover the world, capture the moment, show as many people as possible the beauty of nature and those insignificant details that make up life, that is what we like about what we do!

Debbie Johnson

Painter

  • About Me, Debbie

Debbie Johnson is a native of Brockton, MA. She is a self-taught artist who continues to challenge herself by trying new techniques and mediums. Always in search of new forms of expression, her substrates range from glass, to canvas, and to furniture. Her art reflects her nature; bright, colorful, and vibrant.

She was featured in the Taunton Gazette for the commissioned artwork of the Public Library Art Gallery entryway and has been chosen by Rockland Trust Bank to create its entry in the Plymouth Mass., Scallop Shell public art display. Best of all, she shares her joy of creating art by being a mentor, teacher, advocate, and demonstrator. She currently works out of her studio in Norton, MA.

  • What I Love About What I Do

When I paint, I get lost in a world of color where I direct all my energy into conceiving each piece of art; I enjoy adding a unique perspective to my work in order to make each piece memorable. My art is all about color, emotion, and movement. Color Your World With Art!

Kat Whitham

Painter

  • About Me, Kat

Hi, I’m Kat. I live in Seattle and teach college English and literature, but I’m an enthusiastic artist on my weekends. I’ve been an artist since I was old enough to hold a pencil but was discouraged from pursuing what I loved. A few years ago, I reconnected with my passion for making art and, as cliché as it sounds, it honestly changed my life! Creating colorful art was what I should have been doing all along. I had locked up the artist in me for so many years. Once I started painting just for me and no longer cared whether or not I was “good” at it, or if anyone else liked it, a door opened and I was free. Engaging in art has made me a better parent and teacher; I always tell my daughters and my students, "Do what you love!" Now I paint or draw almost every day, especially in the summertime, and I participate in local art shows and sales. Using acrylics and watercolors, I paint figures, florals and landscapes that reflect my Asian American culture, love of books, and the Pacific Northwest horizons.

  • What I Love About What I Do

For me, the best thing about drawing and painting is having an avenue for self-expression that doesn’t involve talking or writing. As a writing teacher I work with words all the time, so being able to express myself in color and design is rejuvenating. I love reading and writing stories, but now I can tell stories by painting them. I’m happily introverted and never feel lonely when spending hours alone in my art studio surrounded by my favorite things (art supplies!). I also enjoy sharing my work with friends, family, colleagues and collectors. Most of all, I love meeting other creative people and (finally) being part of an encouraging, supportive community of artists.

  • What I Love About What I Do

I love being able to express myself through my art. I hope to inspire people to use their imagination and explore the outdoors. When I was teaching art I would hand the kids a pencil and paper and I would tell them to use their imagination and draw anything they wanted. To my surprise most kids had no idea how to do this! I had kids in tears because they didn't know how to draw something without being told exactly how to do it. This was a huge motivation for me to help inspire anyone who wants to be creative! Anyone can be an artist.

If my art can help someone who is going through a hard time or just having a hard day, then I am overjoyed to just put a smile on their face.

Khushi Shah

Digital Illustrator

  • About Me, Khushi

My name is Khushi, and I’m a digital illustrator based in India. I started illustrating in September, last year. In the beginning it was something I did for fun but then I realised how much it can mean to people to have illustrations of/with their loved ones, and that is when I decided to make it a business.

  • What I Love About What I Do

I love the impact my illustrations have, especially when I illustrate a lost loved one. I get to give my customers a way to capture their memories in a creative way and that’s very rewarding. The best part is when people say that they can comprehend the emotions of the illustrations even without the presence of the features. My customers always send me a picture after they print out my illustrations or hang them up in their homes, and that’s very overwhelming. I’m still not used to it and I don’t think I will ever be. It’s heartwarming to even think about the influence my art has on people’s lives.

Ashley Elliot

Multi-Media Artist

  • About Me, Ashley

My name is Ashley Elliott, and I have been an artist the majority of my life. I attended Monmouth College, and minored in art. Within my time at Monmouth, I found I love a variety of mediums: sculpting, painting, and drawing. Now that I am living as an adult with limited supplies I choose mediums that I can afford to do, such as drawing, photography, and occasionally painting. Art has always been a passion of mine, and a talent I have held near and dear. My inspiration comes from what I see and feel. My past teachers and professors always told me that I have a creative eye, in other words, I can see inspiration in almost anything and make it come to life. My artwork generally is a mixture of what I see and feel. For instance, I may see a shadow and at the time I may be feeling depressed, so I depict both of these senses within what I am creating. I have also done artwork for others, such as pet portraits, painted helmets, abstract paintings/drawings, tattoo sketches, photography, and architectural drawings/paintings. The way I see it, art has no limits.

  • What I Love About What I Do

I love making something that others can enjoy and interpret for themselves. I also enjoy how cathartic creating can be at times. I struggle with Anxiety/Depression and art has been a coping skill of mine. When I was in college, my art classes were often my therapy. I spent hours and hours in the classroom after-hours working on my pieces. Art has not only been a saving grace, it has also been something I can share. I have done commissions, taught friends how to draw and the basics of other mediums. I have used my creativity within my full-time jobs as well. As a Peer Support Specialist, I helped others struggling with mental illness find their own creative groove. As an Optician/Frame Stylist, I have helped individuals find the right pair of glasses based upon which shape/colors/material best suits them. As I have said before, art has no limits.

She mainly focuses on digital illustrations revolving around intersectional feminism, body positivity, and female empowerment. Deeply rooted in the movement of inclusion and representation, Handsome Girl is on a mission to make sure women of all backgrounds and experiences are seen and heard. Her design path started as a therapeutic outlet for her own eating disorder, in which she has struggled on and off with for over 15 years. Moore started drawing as a way to celebrate the beauty of her own body and other women’s bodies. Celebrating all the different shapes, shades and experiences beauty can come in. Later, I moved on to adding in playful takes on sexual health, snacks, and positive affirmations. All things that have been fundamental elements in her own personal recovery and ongoing journey to practice radical self-love and appreciation for all the diverse beauty in this world.

Abigail

Digital Artist

  • About Me, Abigail

Hi my name is Abigail and I am the creator of Sweetie Portraits! Sweetie Portraits came to be my business name because my boyfriend likes to call me his sweetie pie. My business name is dedicated to him for supporting me in my digital art adventure. He has seen me grow from the first day I started, and I feel very fortunate to have shared this loving experience with him.

The push to start making digital art began amid the rise of the coronavirus pandemic, but it really initiated as a special gift for my younger sister’s birthday. With my sophomore college semester shifting completely online I took it as an opportunity to experiment with my graphic design software. All of my art has been created using Affinity photo, and overtime I have learned new techniques to transform my art into better quality content.

  • What I Love About What I Do

I love the dynamic nature of creative work, and how it fuels my mind into a better state of being. Other advantages I find are things like overcoming little challenges on a regular basis, being out in the field rather than (always) behind a desk, and the interpersonal connections that are intrinsic to this type of work. In terms of personal work, documentary photography is something I enjoy doing as a part of life regardless of work aims! Whether it's on the street, during travels, or daily moments.

  • What I Love About What I Do

There are many mediums and techniques that I enjoy working with, but there is something magical about photography that makes me wonder all the time about life. I am able to express my creativity with more volume and at the same time be selective of what ends up in my hands physically. I truly value quality, purpose and uniqueness in the way I express my art. However, to become more in tune with that creative spirit I have to practice every day. I dedicate at least 20 mins to sharpening my art when I have an opportunity. That may be creating, reading, writing, and listening to music. If you start adding all the time up over a month or even year you can really enhance your world around you with hours of beauty. I would have to say that I am constantly bombarded by my new interests, nostalgic memories and music all the time as sources of inspiration. There are always new adventures and twists in the way we do things sometimes. I shot my first Polaroids in third grade, but I was not until college that I took my first real art course and really learned about a camera. My best advice is to find favorite artists, be inquisitive and dive into research all about them.

Overall my work is inspired by my Texicana perspective, memories and upbringing. There is strength, resilience and authenticity in connecting with your heritage. It is behind the lens influencing my aesthetics, the ideas that are significant and my concepts on idealism. I look up to an artist like Frida Kahlo artistically. She expresses her style with costumes, scenery and with color. The oneness she personifies is enlightening. There is a need for those artistic voices to be heard more than ever on the world’s stage. Find your passion, be constantly curious and believe that your life has a purpose. Art for me has always been looked as a gift from the universe and that I can connect the audience with those positive messages of transformation. As above, so below.
